Multidisciplinary artist Kim Beom’s visual language is characterised by deadpan humour and absurdist propositions that playfully and subversively invert expectations. His works are part of permanent collections such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Artsonje Center, Seoul; M+, Hong Kong, amongst others. The artist lives and works in Seoul, Korea.

Untitled (Landscape) (2017) brings to mind Kim Beom’s Untitled series of lithographs, as well as his sculptural works titled Paper Wrapped (both 2016), in which paper pulp is affixed to everyday products purchased at a supermarket. Stripped of key visual cues, ordinary and recognisable items transfigure into ambiguous forms and are perceived as abstract sculptures, suggesting different visual associations for each viewer based on their definition and recognition of an object.

The STPI 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition marks fifteen years of celebrated collaborations between STPI and its artists.
