Join us for a hands-on woodcut printmaking experience, a collaboration between STPI and Drawing Etc. Creative Space. 

Led by printmaker Zhang Fuming, this 3-hour workshop will guide participants through essential woodcut printmaking techniques. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to take home your very own woodcut prints, along with the knowledge and confidence to continue exploring this traditional printmaking technique.

Delve into the rich history of this printmaking technique, unleash your creativity and bring your unique designs to life! Whether you’re a curious beginner or seasoned artist, this workshop welcomes all to explore the timeless craft of woodcut printmaking.

  • Gain fundamental skills in woodblock printing, such as carving techniques, inking methods and printing processes
Introduction:

  • Reflect on your learnings from the workshop, such as areas you enjoyed, or challenges faced 
  • Clean and pack woodcut printmaking tools 
  • Learn how to properly store your woodcut prints 
No prior experience required! Recommended for ages 12 and above.
